I honestly don’t know if I can remember all of the amazing stuff from this month (and it’s not even over yet) but I will try.

Earlier this month, I was incredibly honored to have won the Pinnacle Awards Affiliate Manager of the Year award at Affiliate Summit. I was surprised to be nominated and surprised to be a finalist, so you can imagine the shock I experienced when I won.

So far this month I put together 3 tutorials covering the ShareASale interface, covering topics such as how to get links, getting coupons, and creating custom/deep links. I am currently working on one more to walk you through the Pay Per Call interface…oh yeah, that reminds me…we launched our Pay Per Call campaigns! Fourth Quarter 2009 results are in and we saw a 62% jump in sales. Recession my butt!

62%!!! With great affiliates like you, no recession is going to stop us from Bringing Personal Dreams Within Reach of even more people every day.

And guess what? First Quarter is going to be even better! All those people who got instruments for Christmas need to learn and tons of people make New Year’s Resolutions to finally learn something like guitar, ballroom dancing, painting, etc. Check out my blog post entitled “Gifts, New Year’s Resolutions Make First Quarter Hot.”

OK, lastly…LEGACY Week 2.0 is going on now and I’m not kidding when I say that we are going to give out bonuses and prizes far exceeding $1000 this week, more than double the first LEGACY Week. You can get all the details here and stay tuned to the blog for updates.

Last month I included an article that I had written entitled "The Billionaire and the Hare."

Soon after I sent it out, I got one of the best emails from an affiliate that I have ever received and I wanted to share it with all of you.

This affiliate had her best month ever in December, which was great. She was so excited as she earned a $200 bonus for making 50 sales (you can see all of our bonuses on ShareASale here) and she more than doubled her previous best month’s sales!

How awesome is that? As excited as I am that she is succeeding as an affiliate, what made this email so inspiring to me and put the biggest smile on my face was this part:

I want to say ‘thank you’ for your blog - it is becoming my everyday ‘must’ to check your blog. It’s always uplifting to read. Specifically I was inspired by your post “The Billionaire and the Hare“. I never thought seriously about giving, but I just couldn’t help thinking after reading your post. I also started giving (not big amounts) and I have to say doing that releases me from some fears (I may not even have noticed them before) - really amazing to have more freedom.

Winston Churchill said that “We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.”

The morning that I got this email I happened to be reading in Chapter 11 of Proverbs and was reminded of two of my favorite verses 24 & 25:

One man gives freely, yet gains even more; another withholds unduly, but comes to poverty. A generous man will prosper; he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed.

Now, I promise I won’t preach to you here, but I shared this post with my wife and we both just glowed in the influence that this post had on someone to give, to share in the blessings she has received. It made my day…ok, my week.
