John Knowles Guitarist Learn & Master Guitar LIVE Lesson!
Tuesday May 14, 7pm CST US
Fingerstyle Mastery with John Knowles

One of only a handful of players to be given the title Certified Guitar Player by Chet Atkins himself, John Knowles is a rare combination of incredible talent and gifted teacher. Grammy winning guitarist and song-writer John Knowles has worked with the finest fingerstyle and classical guitarists including Chet Atkins, Jerry Reed, Lenny Breau and the Romero Family. Guitarists around the world subscribe to and learn from his publication Fingerstyle Quarterly. John's work has won a Grammy and two Emmy nominations. In 1996, Chet Atkins awarded John the first Honorary CGP (Certified Guitar Player) degree and in 2004, John was inducted into the National Thumb Picker's Hall of Fame for the second time. It's going to be a great live lesson! We'll also be giving away an acoustic guitar during the broadcast!

Pumping Nylon--Fingerstyle Workout!

It's time to put our "big boy pants" on and go to the gym. This month I'm recommending one of the best resources on the planet for training your hands for fingerstyle and classical guitar playing. It's over 240+ pages of in-depth exercises, songs, and demonstrations taught by respected fingerstyle guitarist, Scott Tennant.

If you're looking to go to the next level in your Fingerstyle and classical guitar playing, this resource will give you plenty of work to keep you busy and improving. Enjoy!

So, each month Learn & Master Guitar will offer a home-recording challenge. (A special thanks to fellow Learn & Master Guitar learner, Ben Bob, for the vision for this great idea.)
