Legacy Guitar Services
There’s nothing like work done by the hands of a true master. Let Greg Voros (guitar restoration specialist and master luthier) put his touch on your instrument.
If you’d like to have a trained professional do the needed work on your guitar, here is your chance to have one of the top men in the field handle the job. Whether you need a straightforward guitar setup or extensive repair/restoration, Greg Voros will carefully service your instrument. That’s Legacy Guitar Services.
How This Works:
- Decide whether you need a basic guitar setup or something more involved. (The estimate of repair or restoration comes later after Greg examines the instrument.)
- Place the order here. (You will be charged $1, receive an order # for your setup or repair order.)
- Print your order receipt, and include a copy with your instrument when you send it in (carefully noting any special instructions for Greg on the receipt).
- Pack up your guitar using the packing guidelines.
- Ship it! (Follow the shipping guidelines carefully—including purchasing shipping insurance!)
- Greg receives the guitar either does the setup, or in the case of more involved work, he contacts you with his estimate* before beginning the work. Once you agree to the work, he proceeds to finish the job. If you decide not to proceed with the work, we only charge you for the shipping to get your instrument back to you.
- We pack and ship the instrument back and charge you for the work plus packing/shipping.
*Greg will personally examine the instrument and give you his professional opinion, making a recommendation based on whether or not the repairs would be cost effective in relation to the value of the instrument.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How long will I be without my guitar?
A: You should figure for the time it takes to ship the guitar to us—then Greg does a pick-up/drop-off run to our office on Mondays and Thursdays. You will hear from Greg within a couple days after he picks up your guitar with an estimate of the time and cost for the repairs. Then there’s the ship time back to your location. For general setups, Greg will return your guitar to us on the next drop-off date.
Q: Will my guitar be insured after it arrives?
A: Yes! Our insurance will cover it while it is in our possession. Shipping insurance will be purchased for it when we ship it back.
Q: Why the $1.00 charge up front?
A: That’s the simplest way for our system to generate an order # to connect your instrument to you (and your contact information).
Q: How will I know it arrived safely and is in good hands?
A: We will notify you when it arrives. Greg will contact you directly with any estimates within 2-3 days of him receiving it, and we will contact you again once it has shipped back to you.
Q: How does return shipping work?
A: We will charge you actual cost plus a $10 packing fee. You are free to pay for and send your own return shipping label with your instrument when you first ship it to us. We’ll use that to send it back and not charge you for shipping. The $10 packing fee would still be charged.
Q: How do I pay for the final bill?
A: We will charge the same card you used to make the initial $1 order. You’ll be charged for the work in the estimate (setup or repair), plus the packing/shipping at the time we ship the guitar back.
Q: How much do the services cost?
A: You will receive an estimate from Greg with the exact charges. This PDF will give you a general idea of the pricing for the various services.
